A fad, sometimes called a trend, meme or a craze, is any form of behavior that develops among a large population and is collectively followed with enthusiasm for some period, generally as a result of the behavior’s being perceived as novel in some way.^[1] A fad is said to “catch on” when the number of people adopting it begins to increase rapidly. I just received my 2nd voxbox from Influenster.  I’ll be incorporating these products into my daily routine and giving my honest opinion.  For full disclosure, I received these products for free from influenster for the express purpose of testing them. 

 

Oil Cleansing Method for Oily Skin

So I’ve got oily skin.  Not just oily, but shiny, slick, acne prone skin.  I’ve used everything from Pro-active to home remedies.  The more I tried to “control” my oil, the oilier my skin got.  So I decided to give oil cleansing a try after seeing it on pinterest! I’ll post a link to the site where I got my recipe.  I use about 70% sunflower seed oil and 30% castor oil.

I’ve noticed a huge difference in my skin.  I don’t produce as much oil and I’ve yet to see a blemish in the past week!  Keep in mind, everyone’s skin is different and this may not work for everyone.

I just qualified to receive my second voxbox from http://www.influenster.com.  If you don’t know what that is, it’s a company that offers complements full sized products for members to try, evaluate and give honest feedback.  Members also promote the products they like on social media outlets like facebook, twitter, etc.  I’m super excited and will post pictures of my unboxing when it arrives!

 

Strawberry cheese cake cake!

No that wasn’t a typo.  I’m baking a cake for my sister’s birthday!  She loves cheese cake and cake and strawberries so I thought I’d combine the two.  I can’t wait to see how it turns out!

 

Merry Christmas to Me!!!!!

My boyfriend surprised me and got me took me phone shopping!  Now, my last phone was as basic as can be.  It was two steppes above a rotary phone!  I came home with a T-mobile, HTC mytouch with Android.  I have no idea what any of that means, but I’ve been having tons of fun finding out.  I can even blog from this thing!  This is my Christmas and birthday present rolled into one.  Now we can focus on spoiling the heck out of our soon to be 1-year-old son!

Yay!  It’s raining right now, the baby is screaming in his crib and I need to take the trash out.  I let him cry it out while I take out the trash.  Thr is a nice, juicy mote around the dumpster that I couldn’t see because the street light is out!  Draw your own conclusions!
